We kicked off the Christmas season with an early morning breakfast at the Florida mall this past Saturday. We were joined by two elves, and Mr & Mrs. Santa Claus. The theme for Santa’s home at The Florida Mall is called “Wonderful Holiday Swirl” and features 30,000 twinklings LED lights and swirling snowflakes to complete the magical experience. And that it was- truly magical! Along the circular path to Santa, we found three interactive stations – complete with amusing games – perfect for keeping the little ones occupied.
We started out by enjoying a yummy breakfast filled with your choice of pancakes, pastries, and sweet treats! (of course LOTS of coffee, it was 8 am after all!) There was special entertainment for the event- everything from a balloon artist, face painting to the Crayola crayon himself!
Next up was the highlight of the morning, Mr. & Mrs. Clause' grand entrance to the beautiful green lounge chair. There, they snuggled up in front of the children and read a holiday classic. The children sat in amazement as the sweet jolly old man himself shared the book. I couldn't help but notice what a wonderful Santa He was! I know that is something SUPER important to us when choosing where we take Eliora for that big photo op. each year! I have even booked appointments for Santa as early as November 1st, just to get the right magical interaction! Y'all know exactly what I am talking about!
What's great about the Florida Mall is they have just that option online! We all have busy holiday schedules, so in an effort to meet customer demand, they are now offering Santa’s Fast Pass where families can save time and avoid the line by reserving your magical moment with Santa online by visiting www.simonsanta.com. This is a must!
We were then able to just play! Different vendors were there to share in the holiday fun! Coloring on apple iPads and sharing silly moments with MeeMaw was first on the list!
Next up, heading inside the Wonderful Holiday Swirl to visit the Big Man!
Once inside Santa’s elegant ornament throne, Eliora snuggled up to a photo with Santa, surrounded by Christmas trees and holiday gift boxes. You can capture photo memories with Santa now through Christmas Eve in Center Court! It was truly magical and quick! Santa's team did a great job of getting everyone in and out while having just the right amount of time with Santa!
There are lots of events coming up at the Florida Mall- including another Breakfast with Santa! Everyone on the nice list is invited to ride his or her sleigh to the mall for Breakfast with Santa on December 8 from 8 – 10 a.m. Mrs. Claus and your favorite little elves will also help bring out the festive cheer! You don't want to miss this amazing experience with your little one!
The Florida Mall didn't forget your furry family members either! The community is also invited to bring their cute and cuddly canines and furry felines to meet Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick for a pawsitively adorable photo op during Pet Photos on December 9 – held from 6 – 8 p.m.
My favorite detail from the Florida Mall is their Caring Santa event! We just missed it, BUT keep it in mind for next year's planning!
The Florida Mall is hosting Caring Santa on Sunday, December 2, and 9 from 8 – 10 a.m. which provides children with special needs and their families with an opportunity to enjoy this time-honored holiday tradition through a sensory-friendly event in partnership with Autism Speaks.
The Florida Mall also offers a full calendar of complimentary holiday entertainment along with special shopping incentives from our local, regional, and national retailers. I love how much they are getting into the Holiday spirit right in the heart of Orlando!
