CHRISTMAS MANTLE 2020

This year, I wanted something out of the box for me. I have done country themed, I have done farmhouse. I went for something a bit more modern.

The first thing I did when planning was, of course, head to Pinterest. I had a faux fireplace that was completely white. So I decided to take the plunge and paint the inside matte black. And I was so happy I did! I then added two large white candlesticks with white candles to each side of the mantel. These were a gift, but you could purchase any set of large candlesticks (even from a thrift store) and flip them to white! I then placed a stack of firewood right in the middle. (I snagged my set from Lowes. )

For the side of the mantle, I moved my small blanket ladder, placed a darker blanket on it with a beaded garland, and layered a small nesting table for our nativity. Above I simply used command hooks to place to white stockings. Just as a wall filler.

Lastly was the layered pine garland, this was completely artificial. I used two pieces to add the fullness. I purchased each one from Hobby Lobby. It was half off of the original price of $50. So for two huge pieces, it was only $50. I did find some great Amazon prime options HERE for you. The ones from Hobby Lobby did not come pre-lite. So I had to weave a strand of mini lights throughout. (Stay tuned for how I add in REAL Christmas Tree clippings to add even more dimension and fullness closer to Christmas. YAY!)

I added a taller candler holder to the side and added in a Christmas candle to add a cozy flair to the corner.

See ya tomorrow to talk about what top Christmas trends I love for this Holiday season.
