GIRLS GETAWAY AT THE OMNI ORLANDO.

Cheers! To everything you do Moms!

Between the laundry, taking care of babies, juggling work, and home. There are times where you need some serious rest and relaxation! This past weekend, my two sisters, Mother, and I headed down to the Omni Orlando Resort for just that. A luxurious girls getaway is what we wanted but the Omni Orlando has so much more than we imagined. That by the end of our stay we were already planning our next trip! Next time with our families in tow. So whether your planning your girls weekend or your next Orlando theme park packed vacation, let's explore why the Omni could be a great fit for you!

The Omni Orlando Resort: Checking In

The Omni Orlando is located only 25 minutes from the Orlando International Airport and 20 minutes from Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and Walt Disney World. Giving you that much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of top Central Florida attractions. Yet keeping you and your family close enough to enjoy all of the fun. Omni Orlando is easy to find. Right in the heart of the Champions Gate, this resort is surrounded by a lush green golf course. And over 15 acres of recreation options. Even the drive up to the Omni Orlando is breathtaking. For parking, you can self-park or Valet. (There is a fee. Self-parking overnight is $24; Self-parking day-only rate is $18. And Valet overnight is $32; Valet day-only rate is $32 )

Check-In was a breeze. We arrived earlier than the standard check-in time, which is 4 pm. But their friendly staff had no problem with that. They offered our party complimentary bell services to hold our luggage until our room was ready.

The lobby features many places to sit, catch up on work, or a good book. As well as the Lobby Bar. This bar is open nightly, and an hour may vary during the day.

But it is worth the quick note that May 17 through September 2, 2019 - Saturdays at 4:00 p.m they will be offering lessons on cocktail making. " Mixology Madness" sounds like a perfect addition to a girl's trip and the cost is simply based on the cocktail of your choice. This is apart of their Summer of Champions fun! There will be a ton of special activities going on all throughout the entire Omni resort. Things for EVERYONE in the family! Even FIREWORKS. I personally don't know of a resort that offers fireworks, so this completely blows me away! What a great addition to your next vacation. Please make sure you call and check their activities guide before booking to see exactly what amazing fun you can find during the Summer of Champions!

The Omni Orlando Resort: Room Tour

While we waited for our room. We enjoyed the beautiful pool area! It wasn't long before we received a text confirming we could head to our room! We packed up to check out every that our room had to offer. Our deluxe balcony room was a little over 400 square feet and featured two queen-sized beds. The bathroom had a shower & tub combo and even a small magnifying mirror, perfect for doing your makeup.

The Omni Orlando Resort: The Food

The food options are literally endless at the Omni. With 9 different food service locations on the property, there is bound to be something for everyone. Here is a quick overview of them all.

Morsels offer coffee and tea. As well as other excellent choices for on the go food as you head out on your day. (Opens at 6 am daily)

The Lobby Bar opens daily in the evening and is a perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail before heading to dinner or a night out.

Piper’s Grille is open for breakfast and lunch and features a selection of healthy and hearty sandwiches, salads, and entrees.

Croc’s pool bar & grille is the place to enjoy lunch and dinner by the pool. You can even have one of their amazing poolside attendants bring your food right to your lounge chair. Without lifting a finger. Personal recommendation - The Nachos. They are HUGE and perfect for sharing!

Broadway Deli serves up simple meals, pre-made salads and sandwiches, hand-scooped gelato, and a variety of pastries, snacks, candies, and beverages. Here you can also pick up $10 smores kits for the fire pits in the evenings!

Trevi’s Terrazza is an outdoor garden terrace and bar with fire pit seating and ambient lighting. Trevi’s Terrazza serves light bites to full dinner, a full bar, and a selection of sangria.

Zen is a Pan Asian restaurant offering sushi with a very zen feel. There is also a private dining area available for 10-12 guests.

Davids Club offers beautiful views overlooking the pool. Here you can not only have dinner but enjoy one of their signature bourbons. Open daily at 4 pm.

Trevi's serves up all three options, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We enjoyed our Art of Breakfast Buffet featuring everything from fresh fruit, omelets cooked to order, bacon, and even waffles brought directly to you from the kitchen. For $26, including non-alcoholic beverages of your choice. It's a great deal!

Keep in mind you can make reservations in advance at Opentable. com for select restaurants on property.

The Omni Orlando Resort: The Amenities Overview

The Omni Resort has so many options for you and your family. Let's just begin with some more practical things. Gift shops! There are two gift shops, "Sunrise Sunset" located on the same floor as the lobby. This is a great place to not only snag those items that you might have forgotten at home but also a little someone for loved ones that didn't get to join you on this trip.

A Hertz Car rental desk is available for you to make arrangements for personal transportation options. As well as a Business center. That is 24-hour access with your room key.

Their friendly concierge station can get you to where you want to be, literally. From theme park tickets to direct Walt Disney World transportation to Epcot and Magic Kingdom. This is where you need to be to make those arrangements, please note that you do need to make a reservation for your Walt Disney World transportation with the concierge. They suggest calling or stopping by 24 hours in advance to secure your reservation. So it might be a good idea to check in and take a quick stop by the concierge right after!

Their fitness center is available as well with key access 24 hours a day. And Mokara Spa is a lovely spot to really be able to relax and de-stress from your trip. Offering both salon and spa serves daily. Reservations required.

They also offer 36 holes of world-class golf! They have everything from a mini golf course to a national golf course. If you have a golf lover in your family, this is the place to be! You can book your tee time online. They even offer a junior summer gold camp! Check out their website for more details.

Lastly, Camp Omni is available daily for ages 4-12. They also offer Omni Kids escape in the evenings for parents that would like a little alone time for dinner. These are an extra cost.

The Omni Orlando Resort: The Pools

And now my favorite part of this resort. So good it deserves a category all of its own, THE POOLS! I am all about a resort-quality pool area. And the Omni leaves literally nothing out! From an Adults-only pool & whirlpool, surrounded by 8 rent-able private cabanas. This is the quite serene place to catch up on the podcast or book you have been trying to finish since Christmas.

Next is the main pool, which is right next to the Crocs Pool Bar & Grille. This is open to the whole family. Enjoy comfy lounge chairs, and big umbrellas, while you snack poolside. There is also a water slide right next to the main pool to enjoy for the bigger kids in your family.

The last two areas are perfect for the little ones in your family and both offer family cabana rentals surrounding them. The wave pool is a great place to ride with waves, and even catch a late-night "dive-in" movie! And lastly, the kid's pool is 2 feet deep throughout. (And all the moms said AMEN) There are two wide slides, allowing both parents and children to enjoy the fun.

We can not wait to come back and explore this part of the pool area with our kids!

The Omni Orlando Resort: Final Thoughts

We had a fabulous one night stay hosted by the Omni and thank them for their collaboration. We have had multiple family vacations at the Omni Orlando Resort. And will continue to do so in the future! This is the perfect resort for a family that wants to unwind & really enjoy a resort environment with the ability to access all Orlando has to offer!
