OUR WEEKEND GETAWAY AT THE POINTE ORLANDO.

If you're reading this, you most likely planning your next trip (YAY for you!!) OR are really interested in our Florida Adventures (DOUBLE yay!! ). This weekend took us to The Point. No not the breaking point BUT The Point Hotel & Suites. Haha, Where boutique-style meets family accommodations. To be completely honest before our stay, I had never heard of The Point hotel. But by the end of our little stay, we were happy we did!

The Point Hotel & Suites: Check-IN

Located right off or I Drive. and only minutes from Universal, Walt Disney World, Sea World, and all that Central Florida has to offer! I couldn't ask for a better location for visiting multiple Florida experiences! It was easy to find and even easier to park and check-in! With FREE self-parking and bellhop services. We were parked, checked in, and relaxing in our room in record time. We were greeted with a bright and modern lobby. Complete with waiting areas, places to charge your phones, tablets, and laptops. The front desk attendants, we quick and super friendly!

The Point Hotel & Suites: The Room

The Point Hotel has many different room types. We stayed in their two-bedroom SUITE! (Highly recommended) As you enter there are two doors. One held TWO King sized beds with a small kitchenette. Shower /bath combo restroom. TV, two large closets with one safe. A makeup vanity area, the kitchenette was stocked with cutlery. We chose to have Eliora on this side of the suite. (Even though that didn't last! haha Thank the good Lord for KING sized beds!)

The other door held the other half of the suite. A FULL kitchen, dining room table with four chairs, and living room area with a large flat screen tv. The separate King master bedroom held yet another flat screen tv. With access to a huge bathroom suite! And guys, I mean huge! The jetted soaking tub with a walk-in shower right next to it was awesome for our stay! A great way to relax and unwind at the end of the night! The toilet had its own area with a door. (YAY!) There was even an extra linen closet in the bathroom. Moving on into the kitchen, there was a full refrigerator, stovetop with oven, sink with the garbage disposal. Everything from a coffee maker to a blender, you name it, it's there! Perfect for making your own breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

Between the two rooms, you can accommodate up to 8 people. There are more than enough dish sets, as well as glassware and cutlery! Don't forget the dishwasher and the all-important WASHER and DRYER! And all the moms sing with happiness! Pretty much all the comforts of home located right where you need them for your next vacation!

The Point Hotel & Suites: The Food

If you don't plan on cooking or cleaning during your stay, The Point has you covered with laundry service options and their Cabana Bar & Grill. Located on the first floor, right by the pool. There you can snag a yummy tropical drink & lunch or dinner! You can eat at one of their many cute resort-style seating options, enjoying the view of the sparkling pool as well as ordering room service. And enjoy a quiet meal in your room. No dishes required!

Pricing for The Cabana Bar & Grill starts at $6 for shareable appetizers. Main dishes & salad offerings range from $8-14. My personal recommendations would be the wings! You get a HUGE plate of the super moist wing with the sauce of your choosing. They were so good yall, we ordered them twice!

Here is a FULL Food review of everything we ate while staying at The Point!

Heading out for a big day? Want to start it off right? AGAIN you have options! Enjoy an in-room breakfast served daily from 7 am-11 am. Or head downstairs for a full breakfast buffet. As you can imagine the buffet is very popular. So arriving first thing in the morning or around 10:30 am is my suggestion! Feel free to take your hot coffee & piles of pancakes to the pool deck. Enjoy the tropical view while fueling up for your day!

The Point Hotel & Suites: The Amenities

Let's start with their concierge desk. This area is just off of the lobby. It was easy to find, and the attendant was super helpful. Did you know you can actually SAVE on select tickets to local shows and attractions just from booking through them? I had no clue! I recommend checking them out, after check-in. To be sure you not missing an amazing deal that is exclusive to The Point.

You can also pick up the shuttle schedule here for the entire week! This is super important because the shuttle serves, although complimentary. Do not run back and forth all day. So you will need to be in a certain pick-up and drop-off locations at the correct time. With the popularity of Lyft and other ride services, feel free to catch a ride to and from the hotel at your leisure.

The Pool area was our favorite! With one large central pool surrounded by comfy blue lounge chairs. There were even luxury sectionals with coffee tables scattered around the pool area. Perfect for snagging some food from Cabanas or playing a game with the family.

You can find a large TV on the side of the foodservice area! Feel free to catch up on news or the local game back home while the family enjoys a dip in the pool. A hot tub, gym, pool restrooms, and covered seating areas make the pool area an afternoon of fun!

We had the best three-day getaway at The Point hotel & suites. With its close location to all Orlando attractions, as well as family-friendly amenities. It's a perfect choice for a family on the go, that wants all the comforts of home while exploring everything central Florida has to offer!
