Tips for serve weather at Disney World during your trip.

In general, I think it is a good idea to visit a Disney theme park in the rain. On days with bad weather, there are certain attractions that are ideal for visiting, and others that are better avoided, due to being shut down until the weather passes. Here are some simple tips for your trip!

Rain is expected almost daily, it is possible to spend a magical day in a Disney park. There's no guarantee you'll keep it magical no matter what the weather is, so prepare for it.

A Florida weather bug can shut down outdoor attractions if it actually rains within 10 miles of them. If there is thunder or lightning, the park is declared closed until the weather plays along - the danger is over.

Hurricane season is something to keep in mind when planning your trip, but it should not put off Disney planning. Orlando is right in the center of Florida, which means Disney World is unlikely to be hit by hurricanes or tropical storms at full force, so don't let that stop you from planning for Disney!

Severe weather with heavy rain can put a small dampener on your Disney vacation, but if it's bad enough that Disney has to shut down operations due to severe weather, there are many other options at Disney World.

When it rains, Disney World offers a variety of activities, including spending time at resorts, enjoying indoor activities, or celebrating the rain with their Rainy Day Parade! (Yes this is a thing!) One of the best things you can do when it rains on your trip is just to keep going and enjoy the holiday. You really should consider making the most of your vacation while you are already on site.

Pack umbrellas and ponchos and remember that most guests leave the parks when the weather turns, so if you can stand it, the crowds will diminish dramatically. Check out what's in my park bag below! Shop my favorites!

When it rains, you can see that the shops get much more crowded when guests want to avoid the rain and go shopping. Also, if you notice dark clouds looming before you enter a ride, it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and out on your stroller cover!

While you may be willing to push through the rain, it is important to be aware of the weather, as thunderstorms can sometimes become violent. It can be fun to get wet at Disney World, but if it's stormy, you should consider leaving the park so that the rain from Florida can pass you before it hits you. Once the storm subsides, each park may have its own weather forecast, which makes it worth getting into the weather in the end.

Here's what you need to know when storms are heading toward you and when a severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for your region.

Disney Springs is a great option for a rainy day! The shops are mostly indoors, but Disney Springs has other in-house entertainment options. You can bowl at the Splitsville Luxury Lanes next door or dine at one of the many indoor restaurants. See a movie, go shopping, etc.

If it rains, you can go to a restaurant in the park, or you can check the forecast and make an ADR for a day that you think could bring bad weather. With these tips you should have a good time despite the rain, but make the most of a little rain. Those hoping for perfect weather during their Disney vacation will have to cope with the rain.

Remember that there are also monorails and boats that will take you around the Disney grounds, maybe exploring a resort is a better option, and the service is completely free. Remember, it's still a rainy day at Disney World! Which is better than a rainy day anywhere else.
