It's that time of the year, time to start planning your Disney trip! Yay! This article is for those who have little ones who have lots of energy, and I mean lots! Did you know that Disney World is home to tons of playgrounds? Every Resort has at least one playground. Most of which are themed to that resort. You can even find them in each Park. If you know where to look!
Here's my personal pro tip when it comes to using these spaces within the parks. Sometimes at Disney your just stuck in overdrive. Your on the go constantly sticking to a schedule. Allowing for 20 minutes of free play, is a mood booster for most little ones. Helps to get some wiggles out, and Splash pads are a perfect solution for extra hot days. I always pack a swimsuit, wet bag and water shoes just in case I feel like my daughter needs the break.
So let's begin our list with...
Magic Kingdom
While Magic Kingdom is home to undoubtedly the most little kid friendly attractions, it also has some very unique play areas.
Tom Sawyer Island
Take a journey by log raft, to Tom Sawyer Island. This is a perfect place to explore, run, and play. There is even a small quick service location there on the Island during extra busy times. Adventure awaits!
Pro Tip- Since there is only one way on and off the Island, only head that direction if you have some extra time. At least an hour!
Casey Jr. Splash N' Soak Station
This is perfect on a hot day! Featuring the train from Dumbo, you little ones will love to splash and play! Located right by Goofy's Barnstormer!
Dumbo The flying Elephant
Inside the ride line, you can play while you wait. This indoor play place keeps you and your little one cool. Highly recommended!
Epcot
Mission Space Playground
As you exit off the ride Mission Space, there is an indoor play place! It's inside and cool, a great way to beat the heat! Simply go through the exit, and enjoy!
Bruce's Shark World
Located at the end of the Finding Nemo ride. Your little ones can play in this smaller indoor space, and even take a photo in the shark bruce's mouth!
Liquid Layer Water Play
This is a very small splash pad, with pops of water! If your little one needs a quick cool down, this is the place!
Seasonal Festival Playgrounds
With each Festival, Epcot has introduced some creative play spaces. The perfect spot for adults to relax and enjoy the festival booths, and little ones to play!
Animal Kingdom
The Boneyard
I can not tell you enough how much my daughter loves the Boneyard! It is a giant outdoor play area, with large fans and huge areas of shade! 10/10 recommend! There is even a dig site over the bridge! My daughter favorite is the massive 2 story slide! For parent's of little little ones, there are plenty of smaller areas to explore as well!
